Xavier Adserá is Board Chair at Alder Renewables. After co-founding an investment bank in Spain, being chairman of a public nutraceutical company, director of several others, and CEO of a UK-based private equity firm, Xavier founded Adequita Capital in 2016. Xavier currently holds a number of leadership roles in addition to his work at Adequita Capital, including Chief Executive Officer of UVentures, board member positions in Nethits Hospitality, and an advisory role to COMO Global. Before moving to London in 2011, he was founding partner and shareholder of Grupo Financiero Riva y García, leading independent investment bank in Spain; chairman of Natraceutical; member of the board of directors of several private and public companies in a wide array of sectors; head professor of long-term financial strategy at ESADE Business School and chairman of the Financial Analysts Society and of its Financial Studies Foundation, where he is still honorific member of the board of trustees.
He co-authored the book “Principles of Corporate Valuation” and CFA article “FEVA: A Financial and Economic Approach to Valuation”. Once in London, as CEO of Veremonte equity firm, he served as Chairman of BCN World hospitality and entertainment project and director and member of the executive committee of electric car racing Formula-E. Xavier received both MBA & BBA from ESADE Business School (Barcelona and completed post-graduate studies at HBS (Harvard), Sloan School of Management (MIT), and Stern School of Business (NYU). Due to his extensive career and achievements, Xavier was granted a Full Membership (MCSI) in the UK Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), indicating a high knowledge base of the financial sector as well as a commitment to the principles of professionalism, integrity and excellence. Xavier is a British and Spanish national.
